P.J.’s first novel Crossover Dribble is a “faction book” combining facts with a great plot. Set in the rural Midwest, Joe struggles to make the starting five when an accident derails his summer plans. He has to step up and help out on the family farm. Actual basketball drills that can improve a reader’s game are woven into the storyline.
According to author P.J. Farris, bloody lips, floor burned knees, and broken bones are a part of being in sports. “You get bumps and bruises but you learn about teamwork and life from playing sports. Losing is tough - but it’s so much better than sitting on the sidelines and just watching the action.”
P.J.’s message to readers: “Read on!!! Play on!!! Go for it!!!”
